Michelle Hunt
Piano, Group & Woodwind Instructor
Michelle Hunt is a professional musician and teacher from Langley, B.C.
Her passion is classical music, however she enjoys many different styles of music. Michelle started playing piano at the age of 4 and flute at the age of 11. She has been teaching piano for 10 years and flute,clarinet and saxophone for 5 years.
She has studied piano with Jane Hayes and Meijane Quong and studied flute with Paolo Bortolussi at Kwantlen Polytechnic University where she has received a Diploma in Music and is currently finishing her Bachelors in Music. Michelle has studied conducting and ensemble rehearsal techniques with Dr. Wayne Jeffrey at Kwantlen University.
Michelle has performed with the Kwantlen Wind Symphony and the Fraser Valley Wind Ensemble playing flute, piccolo, alto flute and piano. She has also played various percussion instruments with the Kwantlen Percussion Ensemble. Michelle has played bass clarinet, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone at various musicals in Langley and Maple Ridge. She has also performed flute at weddings, gigs and other various events in the Lower Mainland.
